How long will adding character skins be disabled for? Or undetermined?

How long will adding character skins be disabled for? Or undetermined?

I don't like hacks or cheats,but changing the skin is not one of them,having say that,you can still change the skin whatever you want.Just follow this steps:

1-Go to your minecraft.jar(in appdata/.minecraft/bin);
2-Right click on minecraft.jar,open with winrar;
3-Open mob folder and locate char.png(that's your actual skin)
4-Drag and release there your favorite skin(you have to name it char )and click ok.
5-Enjoy your new skin.:D

Remember to close minecraft aplication before do this.And you can drag out the original in case you want it back.This is safe to do.:o

Oh, but this is only a personal skin it look right? My friend couldnt see mine. I guess it's a pass until they fix them

That problem happens to everybody.Just reconect.Has nothing to do with the skin choice.:p

Edit:Im not sure if others can see your skin in multiplayer but you can.
