Few days ago i found an entrance to a cave. I harvested a bit and went back to daylight to finish up my harvesting mashine (im vegetarian so i need bread to consume ;) )

3 hours ago i went back to the cave.. I am now lost. I found so many diamonds and I always carry with me 1 water so I made all the lavalakes to Obsidian so far. problem is this cave is endless.
Seriously
Its so ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ huge that i seriously get angry when i see another entree to another cave. Im so happy when i find dead ends. Im not finished.. This will take days to explore, to mine.. I dont even want to think about mining the obsidian. Im sure I already made 400+ obsidian.

its so huge! what do you do in these situations? this MUST be the biggest cave known to minecraftmen..Maybe there is a program which shows you how big it is like cartographer, i dont know.. for now, i quitted the game because i couldnt stand it anymore.

best regards

I always build a massive tower network, and if I get lost I just dig up, find a tower, and get home

That is exactly how i feel but without the diamonds. i have this theory that all minecraft systems, ALL OF THEM are interconnected, so basically there is only 1 cave system all around minecraft. Anyway, the easy trick would be using /warp outofthecave :)

lol, path of redstone, that is a very original idea. An awesome if u have some thousands.

Just yesterday I found a huuuge cave system right below my spawn point. It has everything I need (diamonds!!, beautiful waterfalls, lavafalls) plus some stupid spiders. (I hate their noise!).
I couldn't finished exploring it, since when I think it's leading to a dead end; I just find another gap and the cave continues.. And its very deep underground, just 5 blocks above bedrock.

If you REALLY want to get out just dig up, and if u have as many minerals as u say, build a compass and get back home ;)
OR if you are REALLY REALLY REALLY stressed and crazy enough suicide and spawn at home (i wouldnt recomend it cause its way too stupid XD)

Saludos desde Mexico, and sorry for my English XD

I actually tend to establish "basecamps" every so often in my caves. I also seal off entrances whenever I have exploited all the possible resources. I leave the cobble there in case I feel like going back, but yeah. The basecamp usually has a door, maybe a torch arrow towards the exit or next basecamp, and has a workbench.

It's resource intensive, but fun. Plus, I can convert the cave into an easy home.

That is actually a great idea. I need to start doing that.

I know the feeling. Some cave networks are so big that became boring, but you can always plant trees down there and make bases so,just relax and explore the abyss.;)
