Hello everyone and behold here the farming tutorial:
Here you are supposed to find out about everything related to farming in minecraft:
1. Trees
Trees are the only source of wood (Captain Obvious), and it will always be needed thorugh all your minecraft playtime. Sometimes it is very easy to gather because you got some big forest next to your respawn/lair, but sometimes you have to take damn long walks, knowing how to grow trees in a much more convenient place is very useful, here is how to:
- How to grow trees:
Trees are grown from Sapplings (little tree plants), you can get saplings by destroying other tree leaves. To plant a sappling all you need is dirt, saplings wont grow anywhere else. For a sappling to grow into a tree, it needs some factors:
1. Space: it needs an area of 3x3 to be clear (flowers, other sapplings, wheat count as "clear"), this means 2 blocks to every side to the sappling, it also needs 4 blocks over it to be cleared (in case you are growing a tree underground)
2. Light: a tree needs a factor of light of 15. When you plant a tree outdoors (clear view to the sky *if there is glass in the way, it does not affect this ) you wont have any problem (the sun provides a factor of light of 15). But when you plant a tree indoors for extra efficiency, so yo can always have wood and you dont have to wait until daylight comes to harvest some, you got to provide the tree with light, the best way to do this is with a torch inmmediatly adjacent to the tree, a torch provides 14 light. Another way to provide trees with light that i dont see totally useless is with Lightstone (adquired from the Nether), it provides 15 light. Something that i wanted to do is provide light to a tree with lava (provides 15 light), but apparently lava doesnt let trees grow.
